lekker hekel!

had a lovely morning crocheting with friends Adelè, Riesl, Loma and Christelle Botha (from the fb page 'ons hekel'). Doesn't she have the most beautiful kitchen? We're getting together again tomorrow, cant wait! So much inspiration and ideas...and not enough time! We do far more chatting than crocheting by the way :-)

I made a nice warm beanie for Reinier. I mixed two yarns together, Elle Gold and Kismet Spice, so its extra thick. I've made a blue one for Joshua and a pink one for Kirsten too, they are so quick to make!

warm & toasty cowl

I decided to make this cowl this week, our winter days are always sunny, and its been really mild so far this year (no jumpers needed during the day!) but its nice to have something warm on your neck. So I made this cowl, not too bulky, just right for me. I just did a plain granny stripe, then twisted it and joined. I used a whole ball of Kismet Spice yarn. Love it!

and of course a blog post wouldn't be complete without a photo of this little guy. He would brush his teeth 5 times a day if I let him!! (oh, and then he has to spit really loud, just like his dad :-) )
