Josh fell asleep in his playpen, thumb in his mouth! Cute :-)

Not so sure about the Bumbo... He's still a bit too small, so I don't leave him in there very long.

Ferdinand & Tineke were blessed with a beautiful baby boy on Friday! All is well with Mum and baby. He weighed in at a nice 4.06kg. Marissa and Elèanne are very excited to have a brother! Now Joshua has another maatjie!

just to brag...

Hi everyone! Just to brag... Josh has been sleeping through for over a week now!! Such a clever boy! Last night he slept from 8:30 - 6am. Mamma is very happy :-) More photos coming soon!

I'm 7 1/2 weeks old already! Here I am waving hello to my three cousins in Australia; Jenna, Alyssa and Megan. Mums told me all about them, and I cant wait to meet them!

Wildlife in Villieria!!

Leon phoned us last night at about 7pm, to say we have to come to his house quickly, because there's a small spotted genet with 5 babies in a tree in his yard! (Leon lives not far from us). It was so amazing to see, everyone was really excited, it was like the paparazzi had arrived! All my brothers in law were there, plus some friends. I love it when people get excited about nature! We hope they will all survive!

Reinier is home studying today. I asked him to hold Joshua for me while I quickly ate my lunch. It didn't take them long to nod off!!

Sunday treat

Sunday just isn't the same without something really yummy to eat is it? This is what we had for morning tea today, sssooo good! Here is the recipe:

DATE & LEMON SCONES

3 cups SR flour

2tbs sugar

1 cup chopped dates

Zest of 1 lemon

150ml milk

150ml cream

1 egg

Sift flour, add sugar, dates & lemon zest. Whisk together the milk, cream & egg. Add to the dry mixture. Knead - but not too much! Roll out and cut out. Brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 200deg, 10-15 minutes. Best eaten straight out of the oven!! Enjoy!

This is the 'new face' of my little man. He's much happier now, after realising that I dont have enough milk! (sorry Josh!) Now I supplement his feeds with formula, and he's a different baby! Hopefully he'll get nice and fat now!

Joshua's Baptism

Today, Joshua received the sign & seal of Gods covenant. Such a special day! He was baptised by Rev. Folkers. Here he is all dressed and ready to go to church. It was quite tricky putting him in his car seat with a long baptism dress on!

Church was very full!

So many people congratulated us, the queue seemed to be endless!

Jessica held Joshua in church, he was really good, and didn't make a squeak!
