Here is a bit of information about the Yarn Indaba 2014.
Such a pity I wont be in S.A. anymore! :-(
Yarn Indaba 2014
Time to pick up those knitting needles and crochet hooks!! We need your help!
We are going to try and set the World Record for the largest yarn bomb, by covering the steps of the Voortrekker Monument and we need your help to do so.
To do ...this we need knitted/crocheted blocks in 2 sizes 20x20cm (19 050) and 15x15cm (3350).
As we would like to setup the Yarn Bomb on 1 August 2014, we need all the squares by 1 July 2014.
The names and the number of blocks by each participant would be noted and also entered as part of the attempt.
After the yarn bomb we would be donating the blocks to various charity orginisations for the making of the blankets.
Finished squares must be sent to Yarn Bomb 2014, 52 Maud Road, Valhalla, 0157. Please provide your name and address, in order for us to keep a record of all the squares received!
Come on, we CAN do this!! Let's place South Africa on the Yarn Bomb map!
