Sunday treat

Sunday just isn't the same without something really yummy to eat is it? This is what we had for morning tea today, sssooo good! Here is the recipe:

DATE & LEMON SCONES
3 cups SR flour
2tbs sugar
1 cup chopped dates
Zest of 1 lemon
150ml milk
150ml cream
1 egg

Sift flour, add sugar, dates & lemon zest. Whisk together the milk, cream & egg. Add to the dry mixture. Knead - but not too much! Roll out and cut out. Brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 200deg, 10-15 minutes. Best eaten straight out of the oven!! Enjoy!
