We get to enjoy so many beautiful birds in our garden. Here are just a few of them.
A pair of 'Red headed Finches' (rooikop vink). We also get the 'cut throat finch'.
Crested Barbet (Kuifkophoutkapper)
Southern masked weaver (Swartkeelgeelvink). This poor guy looks buggered. He built such a beautiful nest, then his wife ripped it to bits, not good enough dude, start again!! (how mean!)
(Red headed finch is one of my favourites) Its amazing for me to see these kind of birds in the wild, in Aus they would only be seen in Dads aviary!

Black-collared barbet (Rooikophoutkapper). I've written the Afrikaans names, because they make much more sense to me, easier to remember too! I took this photo through the window, so its not very clear.

All the presents I got at my baby shower, I have everything I need now, thats for sure!

ReplyDeleteYes, there are definitely similarities! Leon & Reinier looked alike when they were small. But actually, Regardt looks alot more like Lallies side of the family, the Dekters.
